Baahubali' star stated that she will be taking a short break from social media.
On her X handle, Anushka wrote, "Trading blue light for candlelight... Will be stepping away from social media for a bit, just to reconnect to the world and work beyond the scrolling, to where we all actually started... See you all soon with more stories and more love... Smile always. Love, Anushka Shetty."
'Ghaati's underwhelming performance
Her latest release, 'Ghaati,' was released in theaters on September 5th, directed by
Krish Jagarlamudi, and starred Anushka Shetty along with Vikram Prabhu is in the lead role, receiving mixed reviews. Although Anushka's performance was highly appreciated by fans and viewers, the film's overall storyline did not seem to connect well.
'Ghaati' box office number
After completing a week at the box office and competing with multiple films, it only collected Rs 6.64 crore. After a decent start during the weekend, the film could hardly mint a crore each day, making Rs 65 lakh on Monday, Rs 58 lakh, Rs 31 lakh, and Rs 21 lakh on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Though the 'Mr. and Mrs. Polishetty' star did not participate in most of the film's promotions, during one, as per IANS, she talked about her artistic aspirations and willingness to play some darker roles. She said, "I want to do an out-and-out negative character. If a strong character comes along, I will definitely do a negative role. I'm listening to new scripts. There’s a good lineup. I’m doing a film in Malayalam. It will be my first Malayalam film. There will be a new film announcement in Telugu as well. That will also be very interesting."
