
Rana Daggubati is a popular Indian actor with a firm footing in Tollywood. The actor has worked in several hit films like Leader, Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, Baahubali: The Beginning, Rudramadevi, The Ghazi Attack, Baahubali: The Conclusion and Nene Raju Nene Mantri. Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi have come together for Venu Udugula’s Virata Parvam. It is being bankrolled by Suresh Productions in association with Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas. Dani Sanchez-Lopez is in charge of handling the cinematography. There’s also buzz that Stefan Richter of Saaho, Uri and 1: Nenokkadine fame has been roped in for the film. Touted to be a multilingual project, Virata Parvam will release in Telugu and Tamil both.

Haathi Mere Saathi, starring Rana Daggubati in the lead, directed by Prabhu Solomon and produced by Colour Yellow Productions in association with Eros International. The film also features Zoya Hussain, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Pulkit Samrat, Vishnu Vishal, Paras Arora, Ashwin Raja, Robo Shankar, Mansoor Ali Khan, Tinnu Anand, Paresh Rawal and Posani Krishna Murali in pivotal roles. The trilingual project is expected to hit the screens in March 2020.

Set in the backdrop of pre-partition India, 1945 will see Rana Daggubati in the lead role. He will be seen essaying the role of a soldier of Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army (INA) in the film. Regina Cassandra has been roped in to play the love interest opposite Rana in the period drama. She plays the role of a Chettiar girl who is supposed to get married to Rana. The Tamil-Telugu bilingual, which also features Sathyaraj, Nasser and RJ Balaji in pivotal roles is directed by Sathya Siva and produced by SN Rajarajan.

Rana Daggubati has teamed up with filmmaker Gunasekhar for a mythological film Hiranyakashyapa. The preproduction work of this film is being done for the past three years, and it is expected to go on floors soon. While is no information about the rest of the cast and crew, Gunasekhar promised to reveal the details pretty soon. According to sources, the mythological project will be helmed on a massive budget and would involve top-notch visual effects.

After working together in Nene Raju Nene Mantri, director Teja and actor Rana Daggubati will be soon teaming up for a movie, and the groundwork for it has already begun. According to the reports, Rana has been approached by Sita director Teja for an exciting project. Reliable sources suggest that the Baahubali actor liked the script and has given his nod. There are reliable reports that indicate that the film has been titled, Rakshasa Raju...Ravanasurudu which could be Rana’s character in the movie.

A biopic on Kodi Ramamurthy Naidu is apparently on the cards. According to the reports, Rana Daggubati will play Kodi Ramamurthy who rose to become one of the top wrestlers in the country and got awarded with the prestigious title Kaliyuga Bheema by the King George V of the United Kingdom. To be made in both Telugu and Hindi, the film will chronicle Kodi Ramamurthy’s exciting journey on and off the court.
