Pooja Hegde condemns ‘Jana Nayagan’ leak; calls it disrespectful and asks to watch Vijay’s last film in theatres

Pooja Hegde who plays the female lead opposite Vijay in his next film ‘Jana Nayagan’, recently reacted to the online leak. In her long social media message, she expressed feeling “disheartened” after the hard work put in by the team.Pooja Hegde took to Instagram stories and said the film took a lot of hard work. Many people worked day and night for it. “My lovely audience. A film is the result of countless hours, creative risks, personal sacrifices, and a team that showed up every single day hoping to give you the best experience possible,” she wrote. She also discussed the efforts put in, as she clearly said that making a film is not easy. It needs time, work and passion from many people. The ‘Deva’ actress also spoke about how the leak is painful. She said, “Seeing our film leaked online is disheartening, not just for me, but for every single person who worked on it.” She added, “To see it being leaked and shared illegally is tough—not because of numbers, but because it takes away the respect that every artist and technician on the film deserves.” She also reminded fans that this is a special film. “Plus, don’t we all deserve to gather together to celebrate and watch Vijay sir’s last film, one last time, on the big screen in the right way.” The ‘Beast’ actor ended her message with a simple request. She said, “So let’s watch it the right way. Let’s wait. It will be out in due time. Let’s not encourage piracy. That’s how cinema and art will survive.”Senior actors, including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi and others have also spoken about the issue.The film is directed by H Vinoth, also features Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Mathima Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon and others in key roles.
