Picture of Pawan Kalyan’s son Mark Shankar with oxygen mask after fire accident in Singapore goes viral; fans express concern
Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan is currently in Singapore after his youngest son, Mark Shankar, sustained injuries in a recent fire incident at his school. The eight-year-old reportedly suffered burns on his hands and legs and is undergoing treatment. Amid the concerning situation, a picture of the child has gone viral on the internet.
A photo of the boy, taken shortly after the incident, has now circulated widely online. In the image, Mark is seen wearing an oxygen mask, likely due to smoke inhalation. Despite the visible injuries on his arms, the young boy’s thumbs-up gesture in the photo has brought a sense of relief to fans. However, further clarification regarding the picture is still awaited.
Netizens took to the comments section to share their concerns, and some wished a speedy recovery for the child. However, some of Pawan Kalyan’s fans were a bit offended by the photo being circulated online.
In his initial statement, Pawan Kalyan shared that Mark would undergo a bronchoscopy to assess any internal effects caused by inhaling smoke during the incident. “He has sustained injuries on his hands and legs and is currently under the best medical treatment,” the actor noted, also expressing his gratitude to fans and well-wishers. “Pawan Kalyan has thanked his fans and well-wishers for praying for his son’s well-being,” the statement added.
Late last night, the actor, accompanied by his brother Chiranjeevi and sister-in-law Surekha, was spotted at the airport as they departed urgently for Singapore. All three appeared visibly anxious as they made their way through the terminal.
Meanwhile, support has been pouring in from the film industry. Actor Jr NTR, expressing concern, posted a heartfelt message on social media: “Saddened to hear about Mark Shankar being caught in a fire mishap in Singapore. Wishing him a speedy recovery. Stay strong, little warrior! Strength and prayers to Shri @PawanKalyan garu and family,” the RRR actor wrote.
Mark Shankar is the youngest child of Pawan Kalyan and his third wife, Anna Lezhneva. The couple also has a daughter, Polena Anjana Pawanova.
