Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release announcement of two major films, one being Pawan Kalyan’s 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh' and the other being
Ram Charan’s 'Peddi'. Both films have been produced by the same production company, and are highly anticipated films in Kollywood. Since the last couple of days, there has been a lot of buzz around the release dates of the two films. While fans expected a summer clash, the makers have now ended all speculation by officially announcing new dates. The spotlight, however, is firmly on Ram Charan’s 'Peddi', whose release date has now been changed, bringing clarity to fans and trade circles.
‘Peddi’ released moved from March to April 2026
Earlier, the producers had announced ‘Peddi’ as a pan-India release on March 26. However, strong speculation began that the film would be postponed. In fact, there was gossip that the release date was being passed to ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ and the two films would be in a family rivalry clash between uncle and nephew at the box office. Now that has been confirmed by the team. It will no longer be released in March, as 'Peddi' now gets a new release date of April 30 for a summer outing and a solo box office face-off.
The creators have additionally released an engaging and impressive poster that has turned a lot of heads. In it is a scruffy Ram Charan with a mess of hair, a tangled beard, slovenly, 'savage' face, and a messy, tangle-like face. He stands tall amid the crowds, with his towering physique. The poster instantly went viral, further raising excitement around the film. This announcement also marks double celebrations for Ram Charan, who recently embraced fatherhood by welcoming twins, and now sees one of his most ambitious pan-India projects moving closer to release.
High expectations from Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, 'Peddi' is a pivotal movie for Ram Charan after 'RRR.' The film has topped the headlines since getting announced on social media and being put in people's sights with a couple of teasers, posters, and glimpses. The song ‘Chikiri Chikiri’ composed by AR Rahman has gone viral and crossed 200 million views on YouTube with all versions (the original and timestamps), making it one of the most popular songs of the year.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the
