'NTRNEEL': Is 'Kantara' star Rishab Shetty part of Jr NTR-Prashanth Neel film? Here is what we know

After making his Bollywood debut in 'War 2', Tarak is now busy with his upcoming mega project with 'KGF' and 'Salaar' director Prashanth Neel. The film is tentatively named 'NTRNEEL' and is also tentatively called 'Dragon'. Latest reports suggest 'Kantara' star Rishab Shetty might be seen in the film.

Rishab Shetty in 'NTRNEEL'

According to a 123Telugu report, 'Kantara' actor-director Rishab Shetty is speculated to be making a special appearance in the film. It is imperative to mention that the makers are yet to make an official announcement.



Speaking more about the film, it has been in production since early this year. Its shooting began in March 2025 at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.

Anil Kapoor in consideration

According to a report by CineExpress, the makers are apparently considering roping in Bollywood veteran actor Anil Kapoor, who is known for his versatile roles. The report also suggests that they are further trying to cast some big names from the Tamil and Hindi industries. If the 'Animal' actor joins the cast team, it will mark around 46 years since his appearance in a Telugu film.

The film is said to star 'Sapta Sagaradaache Ello' fame Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead. The movie is planned for a multilingual pan-India release on March June 25, 2026. The music is composed by Ravi Basrur.

About 'Kantara: Chapter 1'

Speaking of Rishab Shetty's work, he will soon be seen on the big screens with the release of the highly awaited sequel 'Kantara: Chapter 1'. The movie will be the prequel to the folklore of the 'Kantara' release in 2022. Interestingly, the film also includes Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead and further features Jayaram, Rakesh Poojari, and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles.

It is said to release on October 2, 2025.
