Presently hands-full with a big line-up of regional films in the pipeline, the 28-year-old actress is awaiting the release of her maiden Tollywood film ‘Jersey’ opposite Natural Star Nani. She is essaying the lead role of a cricketer’s wife in this Gowtam Tinnanuri directorial and is pretty excited about the content-driven project.

Born in Jammu & Kashmir to Kannada-speaking parents, Shraddha’s father was a high-ranked officer in the Indian Army. Due to his profession, she spent around 20 years moving around all over the country, changing nine schools and living in seven cities. After having such a perambulate childhood, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the young actress is one among the most outspoken and outgoing actors in the present Indian film fraternity. With many diversified roles in a short span of time, Shraddha Srinath is consolidating her position as an astute performer.

After graduating from a law school in Bengaluru, Shraddha started working as a lawyer with a Bangalore-based real estate company and then moved to a French retail company as the real estate legal advisor. However, during this tenure, she also did theatre and appeared in several advertisements. After a couple of years, she decided to take the plunge into films when she didn’t enjoy her corporate job much. Her parents were very supportive in whatever decision she takes by herself.

In the first month of 2015, she was called to audition for a leading lady role in a Kannada film for which she eventually got selected. Sadly, the project didn’t materialise and she went to star in digital commercials. Impressed by her looks and screen-presence, director Vinay Govind roped in Shraddha for a pivotal cameo in ‘Kohinoor’. However, tables started to turn for the actress after she nailed it in the titular role of Rachana in U Turn. The 2016 mystery-thriller opened to glowing reviews from both viewers and critics with several screenings at international film festivals.

After the success of U Turn, things started to move fast for the bombshell with back-to-back films across Tamil and Kannada. She followed it up with a stunning performance in ‘Urvi’ and killed it as a strong-headed woman in Operation Alamelamma. But it was ‘Vikram Vedha’ which took her to a whole new level in Kollywood. She garnered huge critical acclamation for her portrayal as a lawyer in the Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi starrer. Currently, she is starring in three Tamil flicks, with two Kannada projects gearing up for release.

Shraddha Srinath is all set to make her Telugu debut opposite Natural Star Nani in the forthcoming film ‘Jersey’. She played the pivotal role of Nani’s wife in this sports-drama which tells the inspiring story of how a 36-year-old cricketer manages to beat all odds and prove himself on the big stage. Other than this, her maiden Bollywood outing ‘Milan Talkies’ opposite Ali Fazal has recently released to favourable reviews with special recognition to her adorable looks and the superb talent to slip into a complex character with ease.
