'Mathu Vadalara 2' takes a strong start at the USA box office

The much-awaited sequel to the 2019 hit 'Mathu Vadalara' has finally hit theatres today, September 13. Directed by Ritesh Rana, 'Mathu Vadalara 2' is a comedy-action drama featuring Sri Simha Koduri and Satya, who reprise their roles from the original film. Early reports suggest that the film is off to a strong start, particularly in the USA.

The movie has already raked in over $125K from its premiere shows in the US, and with many screenings still to come, there’s a good chance this number will rise significantly. The initial response has been positive, indicating that the film could potentially surpass the half-million dollar mark.

In this sequel, Sri Simha and Satya's characters have taken on new roles as part of a specialized unit called the HE Team (High Emergency Team), led by Rohini Molleti. The twist in the plot comes when their roles as law enforcers take a surprising turn, leading them into the world of criminal activities.

The cast also includes Vennela Kishore and Faria Abdullah, who are part of the HE Team. The teaser has introduced other key characters, such as Sunil, Ajay, and Rohini, suggesting that they will play important roles in the storyline.

Earlier, global star Prabhas and the renowned director SS Rajamouli also praised the film for its funny dialogues and visuals. Prabhas also interacted with the cast in one of the promotional videos of the film.

The music for the film is composed by Kala Bhairva.
