'Major' movie review and box office collection LIVE updates: Adivi Sesh's 'Major' gets terrific response...!

Adivi Sesh, Saiee Manjrekar and Sobhita Dhulipala starrer ‘Major’ are finally out in cinemas today, June 3. The film, directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka brings the actor-director duo for the second time after the 2018 hit film ‘Goodachari’ and the film will be competing with other big films like Lokesh Kanagaraj's & Kamal Haasan, Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil's Tamil film ‘Vikram’ on one side, while Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar's Hindi film ‘Prithviraj’ on the other side at the Tollywood box-office this week. The ‘Major’ film traces the inspirational journey of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and his bravery and sacrifice in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. The film produced by Mahesh Babu in association with Sony Pictures International Productions and A+S movies has already got the superhit talk with its full movie previews. To top it off, the film's trailer and songs have been receiving a positive response from the public talk so far. ‘Major’ also stars Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murali Sharma in the key roles. Adivi Sesh was last seen in the 2019 film ‘Evaru’ and had no releases till 2022. ‘Major’ was initially scheduled to release on February 11 this year but was postponed due to the third wave of the Covid Pandemic. Adivi Sesh shared the kind of response he received in different cities

"For promotion, finally we came to Mumbai and we did a screening for the National Security Guard. In fact, the NSG was opened due to the 26/11 attacks. The main gate of the NSG HQ is called 'Unnikrishnan Dwar'. There's also a statue dedicated to him in the centre of the campus. We did a screening for 3012 commandos and their families. It wasn't like the other shows. Nobody was shouting. We started to feel a sense of trepidation."

1st half & 2nd half entire movie is very interesting, its storytelling is good. The makers have taken many cinematic liberties, but they are good. First I should mention the Movie "THE ATTACKS OF 26/11" Directed by RGV, That Movie will be at the next level..(I still remember, I watched that Movie continuously 2 times show after the show for the Direction). That Movie content will be on KASAB...But Here he concentrated more on emotional content. The director succeeded there only, At the same time, he maintained interest throughout the Movie.

Adivi Sesh's take on the 'Hindi versus regional languages' debate

"I think it's important to remember that India is a glorious, diverse country with many languages. I don't think we officially have a national language according to the Constitution. And I'd like for it to remain that way. When Adivi Sesh gets medal from Black Cats

During one of the interviews for the promotions of his film, Adivi Sesh said, "We showed the film to the National Security Guard in Mumbai where 312 commandos and their families watched the film. When the film ended there was complete silence, they asked me to come to their headquarters and when I got there, they gave me this medal on behalf of the Black Cat Commandos. This to me is bigger than any Oscar . So I believe we have a winner with Major."
