Maaya to be remade in Bengali and Oriya?

Maaya, starring Harshvardhan Rane, Avantika Mishra, Sushma Raj and Nandini, is slowly spreading its reach. Although the film opened to poor numbers on the first day of its release, the makers are reportedly pleased that the box-office numbers grew substantially over the weekend and already, a producer has snapped the remake rights for Kannada.
The latest buzz is that a producer has approached the makers of Maaya to remake the film in Bengali and Oriya and the deal is expected to be closed soon. Neelakanta has directed the film and it has been jointly produced by Madhura Sreedhar and Dr MVK Reddy. Sekhar Chandra had scored the music. The film revolves around a TV journalist, played by Avantika, who is gifted with ESP and how she unravels a mystery behind a fashion designer's dark past.
