iSmart Shankar’s massive success brings luxury cars for Charmme and Puri Jagannadh

Former Telugu actress Charmme Kaur turned into a producer with her self-starrer Jyothi Lakshmi in 2015 and subsequently started to co-produce films with Puri Jagannadh on Puri Connects. Though all their previous collaborations like Rogue, Paisa Vasool and Mehbooba fell flat on the commercial front; their last outing iSmart Shankar turned out to be a highly profitable venture.Starring Ram Pothineni as the protagonist, the action-thriller registered a phenomenal success in the Telugu states with incredible applause from the masses.
Currently, Puri and Charmee are co-producing two films on their banner; Fighter with Vijay Deverakonda and Romantic with Akash Puri. A few hours ago, the duo took to social media and shared that they both have purchased luxury cars under the name of their company. While the 52-year-old filmmaker got himself a grey Range Rover Vogue, the 32-year-old Punjabi diva bought a swanky BMW 7 series. Both the high-end four-wheelers are estimated to cost over Rs 1 crore each.

Starring Puri Jagannadh’s son Akash Puri and Ketika Sharma in lead roles, Romantic is directed by debutante Anil Paduri and the shooting is close to wrapping up. Besides the young pair, ‘Romantic’ features some renowned actors like Mandira Bedi, Makarand Deshpande and the ravishing Dhivyadharshini in pivotal roles. Coming to Fighter, the action-drama is set against a martial-arts backdrop.
