The Telugu film 'Gaanja Shankar' was caught up in a controversy a couple of weeks back because of its title. The Narcotics Bureau issued an official notice to the film's crew and raised an objection stating that the movie is glorifying illelgal activities. Meanwhile, it is now rumoured that the movie is completely shelved after the directive wsas issued to omit the word Gaanja from the title.
However, replying to these rumours,
Sai Dharam Tej said that many news platforms know about the projects that he is part of and added that he himself does not know these informations and learn about these informations from those sites. He said that he got to know that his film 'Gaanja Shankar' is shelved only after reading the news on media. The actor said that his team did not receive any information from TANB. The actor also said that he does not have any information abut the movie shelved and asked the media to let him know if they know for sure if the movie is shelved.

Pooja Hegde in lead roles. The movie's teaser was launched a couple of months back and as the video had the actor smoking and using substance to whichthe Narcotics Bureau reacted asking the makers to not promote drugs usage.
