Ee Rojullo – Modern relationships

Maruthi makes a bold directorial debut with his romantic comedy entertainer Ee Rojullo. The film redefined the style of writing comedy films in Telugu cinema history. Ee Rojullo became a huge success with the number of theatre screens increasing gradually after the first week of its release. Director Maruthi also got praises from film fraternities of various industries across the country. He shows the modern relationships and their meaningless trends in Ee Rojullo, which went on to become one of the landmark films in Telugu cinema.

Bus Stop - Ugly truth about new-age relationships

Ugly truth about new-age relationships, Maruthi’s second film Bus Stop was a superhit. The romance in the film worked well. Bold scenes, adorable lead pair and a very young treatment of the film make it a big hit in the teen-romance genre. It had drama, romance, comedy and heartbreaks and rivalry with parents for objecting the love. The entire movie was beautifully weaved around every teenage emotion, making it a must-watch.

Prema Katha Chitram - Suicide prevention

Prema Katha Chitram was directed by J Prabhakar Reddy, while Maruthi had supervised the direction. The film is based on the topic of suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Before the release, Maruthi said the film gives the message that suicide is never an option, adding that he will be satisfied even if ten people see the film, and feel inspired to live. Moreover, he has done a phenomenal job by infusing comedy into this setup.

Bhale Bhale Magadivoy – A disorder's not an obstacle to love

Maruthi’s Bhale Bhale Magadivoy became massively successful and cemented his position as one of the topmost Tollywood filmmakers of this generation. Many commercial entertainers aim to achieve what this film did but in vain. This popcorn movie starring Nani was an instant success and was celebrated for its comedy and the songs, which was a laugh riot. The film, which tells disorder is not an obstacle to love, turned out to be the milestone film in both Maruthi and Nani’s careers.

Mahanubhavudu - Obsessive-compulsive disorder

Maruthi brilliantly directed this film that dealt with obsessive-compulsive disorder. In this film, the character Anand (Sharwanand) suffers from cleanliness syndrome. The character struggles with contamination obsession. Throughout the film, he starts to loosen his way when he develops love with his colleague. The film was unanimously praised by both critics and fans.
