Deepti Bhatnagar was an ultimate diva whose one sight would take anyone’s heart away. Deepti was not just drop-dead gorgeous, but also a powerhouse performer. She acted in only 25 films before she left the industry for good. She was last seen in Priyadarshan's 2007 Malayalam film Raakilipattu. Deepti made her small screen debut in 1998 with the TV show Yeh Hai Raaz. She married the director, Randeep Arya and said goodbye to the glamour world forever. Even though a couple of her films released after her marriage, she effectively quit the showbiz post-marriage. She has not appeared in any other films since. She moved to the Uttarakhand where she now lives with her husband and two kids. On the occasion of her birthday, here is a look at 4 of her best performances.

Pelli Sandadi
This gorgeous woman made her Tollywood debut in Pelli Sandadi, opposite Srikanth. The film was a huge success and her character Swapna became the ideal girl for the youth in the Telugu states. The K Raghavendra Rao directed-film is considered to be one of the best movies ever made in Tollywood. The film was extra special for Deepti as she started her Tollywood journey with the film. The film turned out to be a super hit at the Box Office and eventually brought superstardom to Deepti Bhatnagar. She also bagged several new projects after the film.

Auto Driver
Deepti Bhatnagar was the female lead of Akkineni Nagarjuna-starring movie Auto Driver. The story revolves around a beautiful wealthy girl, Sravani and auto driver, Jagan who pretend to be in a relationship to dissuade their suitors. However, things get complicated when they genuinely fall in love with each other. Deepti surely made an impact on the film. Her role was something to look out for. The movie was directed by Suresh Krishna and produced by D Siva Prasad Reddy under Kamakshi Movies banner.

Sultan
When talking about underrated films, Nandamuri Balakrishna most definitely makes it to the list. The movie, also featuring Krishnam Raju, Roja, Rachana and Deepti Bhatnagar in the lead role, revolves around a man Shekhar who has deep rage for a terrorist named Sultan. He plots a plan to catch him and get him out of his den. While Balakrishna has gained a lot of attention for his time in the film, Deepti’s performance is sure to leave amazed. Directed by Sarath, the film also starred Bramhanandam, Narra Venkateswara Rao, Raghunatha Reddy, Ravi Babu, Jeeva, and Satya Prakash in crucial roles.

Kondaveeti Simhasanam
Kondaveeti Simhasanam tells the story of Naidu, who is the upholder of justice for the Kondaveedu region, vacates his seat in favour of his servant Satti. But his mother does not like it and plots against Satti. Mohan Babu and Soundarya’s pairing in the movie was widely appreciated by the audience. Deepti Bhatnagar managed to ace her role with much ease and the performance fetched her many accolades. Directed by Dasari Narayana Rao, the film also featured Harshavardhan, Udayabhanu, Telangana Sakuntala, Jayachitra, Laya, Ranganath, Arun Kumar Dasari, Srinivasa Rao Kota, and Mumtaj in significant roles.
