Initially, the lead role in 'Pokiri' was envisioned for Ravi Teja. However, due to his prior commitments with another film, 'Naa Autograph', the role eventually landed in the hands of Mahesh Babu.

'Pokiri' was originally slated to be titled 'Uttam Singh S/O Suryanarayana'. However, with Mahesh Babu stepping into the project, the title underwent a significant transformation, ultimately becoming the name it is today.
