Director Maruthi reacts to Prabhas' 'The Raja Saab' failure, Says new pan-India film script is almost ready

Expectations were high as Prabhas and Maruthi teamed up for the horror comedy film 'The Raja Saab', but it received mixed to negative reviews especially for the storyline, direction, screenplay and other factors.



Director Maruthi has finally addressed the underperformance of 'The Raja Saab', months after its release. The filmmaker shared an emotional note on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami, while also giving an update on his next project.

Maruthi breaks silence after 'The Raja Saab'

Maruthi opened up about 'The Raja Saab' after a gap of three months. On the occasion of Sri Rama Navami, Maruthi shared a personal update with fans. He posted a picture from his home, seated before idols, with his new script placed beside marigold flowers.

In his note, he wrote, "Every journey is a learning experience. On this auspicious occasion of #SriRamaNavami, I'm grateful to be giving final touches to my next script with His blessings."

Director thanks fans and media

Maruthi also took time to thank his audience and the media. He acknowledged their feedback following 'The Raja Saab’s release.

He added, "A heartfelt thank you to all my audience, well-wishers and the media for constantly supporting me and sharing your valuable feedback. I truly respect each and every one of you. I will put in my best efforts and sincerely strive to earn your appreciation and support."
