About ‘Vishwambhara’
‘Vishwambhara’ is described as a Telugu-language fantasy actioner with Chiranjeevi in the central role. The film also features
Trisha Krishnan as the female lead, playing the role of ‘Avani’. It also includes actress Ashika Ranganath in a pivotal role, alongside Kunal Kapoor.
Delay due to extensive VFX work
Initially, the movie was slated for release in theatres in January 2025, but later, the first glimpse confirmed the release shifted to Summer 2026.
According to Pinkvilla reports, the second half of the film relies heavily on visual effects, and the makers are taking additional time to ensure the quality meets the project's scale.
Plot of 'Vishwambhara'
Talking about the plot, in a conversation with Gulte, Vassishta revealed that 'Vishwambhara' is set in Satya Lokam, the highest of the 14 realms (lokas) described in Hindu scriptures, where Lord Brahma resides. He explained, "There are 14 lokalu, seven above and seven below. Many filmmakers have explored different worlds before, like Yama Lokam or Svarga Lokam. We have already seen films where Yama Lokam and Svarga Lokam are explored. I wanted to do something different."
The technical team behind the project includes Oscar-winning MM Keeravani as the music composer, Chota K Naidu handling cinematography, and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao along with Santhosh Kamireddy, managing the editing.
