At a time when Tollywood filmmakers are turning to B-town to rope in the baddies for Telugu films, here is a local boy, who is making waves with his negative shades. Rudraksh, who played a villain in Backbench Student is a Warangal boy.Right from my childhood, I have been passionate about films. I always wanted to act in a
Ram Gopal Varma film as Im a big fan of the director, says Rudraksh, who made his debut in 2003 with Shock.
Ever since, he has been steadily finding a foothold in this industry.
It is difficult to bag good characters in movies, especially, when you dont come from a filmi background, but I am confident that my work will do the talking. I played small roles in films like Bommarillu, Hyderabad Nawabs among others, but it was my role as one of the leads in Yuvatha, that gave me a break in the industry, says the actor.
He got noticed when he played a negative role in Om Shanthi. Then his dream came true when he was offered a role in RGVs Raktha Charitra and its sequel too. Especially in Tollywood, the negative roles are very powerful and Im keen on doing more such roles, says the actor, who is playing a lead in his next movie. Apart from acting, Rudraksh is also interested in photography. In fact, I started my career as a photographer, he says.
