Allu Sirish opens up about Nayanika Reddy’s brutal honesty after wedding: 'She's a sharp shooter, doesn't mince words'

In a candid first interview following his star-studded wedding, Telugu actor Allu Sirish has opened up about his new life with Nayanika Reddy. The 'Buddy' star revealed that their slow romance which began at a party in 2023 was built on a foundation of brutal honesty and shared cultural values that made marriage an organic next step.

Discussing future and life at an early stage

While speaking with Hindustan Times, Allu Sirish said they used to discuss life and the future, starting very early in the relationship. “Once we started dating, we always spoke like we were going to get married. I want our kids to speak in Telugu at home, and we discussed that.” For him, family and language are very important. He wants his future children to grow up speaking Telugu at home.

What does Sirish love about Nayanika Reddy?

Allu Sirish also spoke about the things he loves about Nayanika Reddy. One of the biggest things for him is her sense of humour. “I love that she has a good sense of humour. It’s very important to me, you know,” he said. He also said she is very honest, speaks what she feels and does not hide her thoughts.

“She is a sharp shooter too. If something isn’t nice, she’ll say it. As supportive as she is, she doesn’t mince words,” he added.

Allu Sirish likes honesty because it helps him think better. “I can tell her something from my life, and she just gets it. As a film personality, very few people tell me what I need to hear. Many tell me what I want to hear. But she’s the one person I know who will say it as it is,” he added. For the actor, this honesty makes their relationship very strong.

How did the couple meet?

The couple first met at a party. The party was hosted after the wedding of Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi in 2023. Despite their modern meeting, the couple is deeply rooted in tradition. Their wedding on March 6, 2026, was a masterclass in Telugu customs, right down to Sirish having Nayanika's name written in Telugu script on his mehendi.

In a moving gesture, Allu Sirish recently shared a wedding photo with a tribute to his late father-in-law, D. Sharath Chandra Reddy, whom he never got to meet. "Thank you for raising the woman I now call my wife," he wrote, vowing to "carry forward the love you began."
