Allu Arjun's blockbuster action drama 'Pushpa' created waves with its gripping narrative and stellar cast in 2021. The movie also starred Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, and Sunil. From the start, it was planned as a two-part series, with the sequel named 'Pushpa 2: The Rule.' The much-anticipated sequel is scheduled to release on August 15, 2024.

Mammootty's 2019 film 'Yatra' was both a box office success and a best reviewed one by critics then. It is based on the life of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, and received critical acclaim for Mammootty's acting skill. The sequel, 'Yatra 2,' directed by Mahi V Raghav, is set to delve deeper into YS Jagmohan Reddy's life, portrayed by Jiiva. The film, featuring an ensemble cast, is slated for release on February 8, 2024.

Kamal Haasan's highly anticipated film, 'Indian 2,' directed by Shankar, marks their reunion after 27 years. With a star-studded cast including SJ Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, and Kajal Aggarwal, the film is set to be released in two parts due to its lengthy runtime. While not a direct sequel, 'Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1' serves as a prequel to the 2022 Kannada mystical action thriller. Directed by Rishab Shetty, the film is set 400 years before its predecessor, during the reign of the Kadambas of Banavasi. Starring Shine Shetty and Manasi Sudhir, the movie is anticipated for release in the latter half of 2024.

Directed by Mallik Ram, 'Tillu Square' is a romantic crime comedy and a sequel to the 2022 film 'DJ Tillu' . It is written by Siddhu Jonnalagadda, who also stars in the movie. Featuring Anupama Parameswaran and Muralidhar Goud, the film, initially scheduled for release this year, has been postponed for undisclosed reasons. Now, it is set to hit the big screens on February 9, next year.
