Allu Arjun 42 rules row: Kaveri Baruah retracts remarks, issues apology
A week after a podcast clip alleging that Telugu star Allu Arjun follows a list of “42 dos and don’ts” went viral, brand manager Kaveri Baruah has withdrawn her remarks, calling them “incorrect” and “not based on any verified document or factual material”. In a statement she shared on Sunday, Baruah said, “To be clear, no document containing ‘42 dos and don’ts’ was issued to me by Mr Allu Arjun or by anyone acting on his behalf.” She added that her comments were “made in the flow of conversation and should not have been presented as factual assertion,” and said she was withdrawing the remarks “in their entirety,” while expressing “the utmost respect” for the actor.
Podcaster Sweekriti, who hosts Sweekriti Talks, has also issued a statement apologising for the video’s “unintended impact” and saying there was “no intention whatsoever to harm, provoke or defame any individual”
