All you need to know about 'Mirai' star Teja Sajja

Teja Sajja is a Telugu actor who started young as a child artist and has now grown into a leading man with fantasy and action films. His latest release, 'Mirai,' hit theaters worldwide on 12 September 2025, showcasing his role in a mythological-fantasy adventure. Known for his strong performances in 'Zombie Reddy,' 'HanuMan,' and now 'Mirai,' Teja combines action, training, and fandom to become a notable young star.

Teja Sajja entered the Telugu film industry very early. His first film was as a child artist in 'Choodalani Vundi' (1998). Thereafter, he acted in many popular films like 'Indra,' 'Yuvaraju,' 'Chatrapathi,' and 'Kalisundam Raa,' among others.

Teja Sajja transitioned to leading adult roles. His breakout lead role was in 'Zombie Reddy' (2021), which was a big hit and showcased his action skills as well. Following that, 'HanuMan' (2024) boosted his star status further. In 'Mirai' (2025), he plays Vedha Prajapati which is a high-budget mythological-fantasy adventure, proving his ability to carry large, visual storytelling.

'Mirai' is a fantasy action-adventure film directed by Karthik Gattamneni and produced by People Media Factory. It features a mythological setting with a hero tasked to protect nine sacred scriptures while fighting a villainous group called the Black Sword. With big visual effects, a large cast (Manchu Manoj, Shriya Saran, Ritika Nayak, Jagapathi Babu, and others), and a multi-language release, the film is one of Teja’s most ambitious works.

Teja was born on 23 August 1995 in Hyderabad, Telangana. He studied at The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet. Fluent in Telugu, English, and Hindi, he has also expressed interest in working in Tamil cinema. His family includes sibling Krishna Kireeti Sajja. Despite early fame, he has stayed grounded and keeps valuing education and preparation along with acting.

For his action roles, Teja Sajja has done serious preparation. He performs many stunt-intensive scenes and trains physically to meet the demands of fantasy action. In interviews he has spoken about overcoming injuries (like from 'HanuMan') and pushing through challenges to maintain performance quality.
