Adivi Sesh says working on two different action films, ‘Dacoit’ and ‘G2’ has been ‘creatively demanding'
Adivi Sesh will next be seen in the upcoming action thriller, ‘Dacoit’, starring alongside Mrunal Thakur. As the film has completed its shoot, the ‘Major’ actor is now focusing on his other action-packed movie ‘G2’ which features Wamiqa Gabbi. Recently, the actor spoke about how he found working between both worlds a fulfilling yet demanding experience.
After wrapping ‘Dacoit’, Adivi Sesh returned to action with ‘G2’ as he has been moving back and forth between both projects. While speaking about handling both films with Mid-Day, the actor said, “What excites me the most right now is how different these two worlds are. In ‘Dacoit’, everything is instinctive, and deeply desi, it’s about survival, pain and raw human choices. With ‘G2’, the approach is completely different; it’s strategic, controlled, and intelligence-driven, set in a very slick, global space. Switching between these mindsets has been creatively demanding, but that’s also what makes this phase so fulfilling for me.”
Sequel to his 2018 film ‘Goodachari,’ the upcoming sequel stars Wamiqa Gabbi opposite him. He is now shooting the remaining high-energy scenes. ‘G2’ shows him in a sharp and stylish space. The film moves through global locations and focuses on intelligence, planning, and control. The tone is fast and sleek, very different from ‘Dacoit’.
Meanwhile, speaking of ‘Dacoit’, it is set to hit the big screens on April 10 after a couple of delays. During the shoot of the film, Adivi Sesh was injured during an action sequence last November. Now the film’s shoot is complete.
‘Dacoit’ revolves around Adivi Sesh playing an angry convict who wants to take revenge on his ex-girlfriend, played by Mrunal Thakur, after she betrays him. The film has themes of love, betrayal, and vengeance. Interestingly, the film also features filmmaker Anurag Kashyap playing a cop. It will also feature Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the latest Hindi movies, upcoming Hindi movies in 2026 , and Telugu movies.”
