The film has already garnered USD 1.85 million in North American premiere ticket sales, positioning it as a potential top-five Telugu film premiere in the region.
Pawan Kalyan is on a role, he first became the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and now his latest film The Call Him OG has been generating a lot of buzz in the North American circuit- the biggest market for Telugu cinema outside of India. WIth just 7 days left for the premiere of the film the film has collected USD 1.85 million in the circuit making it the 7th biggest Telugu premiere even before its show has begun to roll. The 7th was held by Pawan Kalyan’s 2018 film Agnyaathavaasi which has gone on to collect USD 1.52 million just from its premiere shows. With almost a week left for the premiere the film is expected to cross at least USD 2 million in the circuit. With that the film will get a fighting chance to grab a highest spot in the list as the 6th spot is taken by SS Rajamouli and Prabhas’s Baahubali 2 with USD 2.45 million and can also hope for the 5th spot by pushing Prabhas’s Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire which had collected USD 2.6 million from it’s premiere shows.

The film tells the story of Ojas Gambheer- an underworld don who has been underground for almost a decade, but he suddenly surfaces to exert revenge and reclaim his throne which is being challenged by Emraan Hashmi’s character. The film marks Emraan’s debut in Telugu films. The film is directed by Sujeeth who is best known for directing Prabhas in his first film post the super success of Baahubali series, Saaho. The film had gone on to collect Rs 310 crore at the box office.And as far as the year 2025 is concerned, They Call Him OG has already become the 2nd highest premiere day collection after Rajinikanth’s Coolie which earned more than USD 3 million.
