'Bhagavanth Kesari' vs. 'Tiger Nageswara Rao' box office collection: Nandamuri Balakrishna's social drama dominates Ravi Teja's period drama

Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Bhagavanth Kesari' and Ravi Teja's 'Tiger Nageswara Rao' are the two major releases from Telugu for this Dussehra, and both films were released in theatres on October 19 and 20, respectively. Anil Ravipudi directorial 'Bhagavanth Kesari' is an action-packed film, whereas 'Tiger Nageswara Rao', helmed by Vamsee, is a period drama. October 24th, Dussehra Holiday, was an amazing day for Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Bhagavantha Kesari' and the film saw a major hike in its collections. As per the trade report, the domestic collection of the film is estimated to be around Rs 9 crore on day 6, while the overall collection of the film in India is estimated to be around Rs 59 crore. The worldwide box office collection of Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Bhagavantha Kesari' stands at around Rs 80 crore, and the film is set to surpass the 100 crore mark soon.
Whereas, Ravi Teja's 'Tiger Nageswara Rao', which has been getting average reviews, has reportedly grossed close to Rs 24 crore worldwide in 5 days. Even though the period drama hasn't seen a major hike, it has been getting a solid response and holds its screens well across locations. The upcoming days are going to be more important for the film.
Directed by Anil Ravipudi', 'Bhagavanth Kesari' features Nandamuri Balakrishna and Sreeleela in lead roles, and the film sends a solid message on women's empowerment to the audience. Kajal Aggarwal and Arjun Rampal play pivotal roles, and the film music is scored by Thaman.
