Speaking about its impact in an old interview, Ajay Vidyasagar, Regional Director of Google Asia Pacific, said, “A lot of our signature success started from Why This Kolaveri Di? six years back. It has received 12.5 crore views, and that number is still growing.”




The song’s simple lyrics and raw emotion struck an immediate chord with listeners. Fans across languages embraced it, with many even creating their own versions. Vidyasagar added, “This piece of creativity keeps winning again and again due to fans.” The track proved that compelling content could travel far without traditional marketing.

One film focuses on music maestro 'Ilaiyaraaja', tracing his journey through discipline and passion, with Ilaiyaraaja himself composing the music. The second project, 'Kalam', will see Dhanush play former President APJ Abdul Kalam, directed by Om Raut. The film is expected to explore Kalam’s childhood, scientific journey, and leadership.
