Speaking at the event, Vikram Prabhu said he felt deeply happy seeing the awards given to the film. As per News 18, he recalled attending award ceremonies earlier in his life when his father Prabhu, was honoured. However, he said that watching a film in which he acted receive so many recognitions felt very special. According to him, the moment carried a personal emotional value because it showed how far his journey in cinema has come. Vikram Prabhu also stressed that the success of ‘Sirai’ was purely the result of teamwork. Upon returning to India, he resolved to take cinema seriously, forging his own course.
