Vemal assaults a Kannada actor

Looks like Vemal, who was last seen in Evanukku Engeyo Matcham Irukku, is in trouble. The actor has to face repercussions if a case filed against him takes a serious turn. According to a source, Vemal and three of his friends have allegedly attacked Kannada actor Abishek. Apparently, all of them, including Abishek, were staying at a guest house near Virugambakkam. It seems that war of words occurred between Vemal and Abishek after an argument broke out, which led to a brawl. This resulted in Vemal and his friends attacking Abishek. It is said that the police has verified CCTV footage of the entire incident.The Virugambakkam police is said to have filed a case under section 294B. Interestingly, Vemal also has filed a case against Abishek. An investigation is happening on the case filed by Vemal, too. The actor currently has Kanni Raasi and Kalavani 2 in his kitty. The former has Varalakshmi Sarathkumar paired opposite him while the latter, a sequel to Kalavani which released in 2010, has the current sensation Oviya playing the female lead. Meanwhile, his long-pending Rendavathu Padam is yet to see the light of the day.
