Suriya to play a college boy role in Sudha Kongara's direction

Suriya has announced his reunion with 'Soorarai Pottru' director Sudha Kongara for his 43rd, and it has been tentatively titled 'Suriya 43'. Now, here's an interesting update on Suriya's character in the film. Earlier, it was reported that 'Suriya 43' is based on a real-life incident, and the film will address the 1967 anti-Hindi imposition. However, as per the latest report, the actor is going to play a revolutionary role, and he will be essaying the role of a college boy in the social drama.

The shooting of 'Suriya 43' is expected to commence in early 2024, and Suriya will be undergoing a massive transformation for his look as a college boy. Dulquer Salman and Nazriya have been officially roped in for important roles, and the film will have music scored by GV Prakash Kumar.

Suriya is currently working on 'Kanguva', which is directed by Siruthai Siva, and the shooting of the periodic drama has reached the final stage. Suriya will be seen in multiple looks in 'Kanguva', and it's going to be a back-to-back versatile role from the popular actor.


Suriya has also announced 'Vaadivaasal' with director Vetri Maaran, and the film's pre-production work has been underway for a long time. The shooting of 'Vaadivaasal' is also expected to commence in 2024, and Suriya might be finishing the work for Sudha Kongara's directorial before Vetri Maaran's film.
