RK, the notable Tamil actor, has shared about his bonding with comedian
Vadivelu during his interaction with the press and media at an inauguration ceremony of his film studio. Actor RK said that he always admired Vadivelu’s comic brilliance and was keen on collaborating with him for a film. He even approached Vadivelu with a story and offered him an advance of ₹1 crore to be part of the project a few years back. However, at the time, Vadivelu was firm in his decision to act only as a lead hero and did not take up the role. RK humorously remarked that the advance amount still remains with Vadivelu, hinting at his eagerness to work with the legendary comedian if the opportunity arises in the future.
Thambi Ramaiah steps into Vadivelu’s role
Since Vadivelu did not take up the project, RK had to make changes to his script and cast Thambi Ramaiah in the role initially written for Vadivelu. He praised Thambi Ramaiah’s performance, stating that he brought a unique charm to the character. While Vadivelu’s absence was felt, RK expressed satisfaction with how the film shaped up, emphasizing that his respect and admiration for Vadivelu remain unchanged.
RK’s dedication to cinema and his latest project
Despite his entrepreneurial success, RK’s passion for cinema continues to drive him. He has now completed shooting for his upcoming film, which revolves around pets and their unexpected influence on human relationships. The story also touches upon sensitive issues like honor killings, exploring how even animals become victims of social arrogance. Directed by R. Kannan, with cinematography by Balasubramaniam and music by Imman, the film features
Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiah, and Nassar in key roles. But RK refused to reveal the film name as he plans to have a grand launch for his comeback film.
A firm stand against politics
Addressing speculations about his political aspirations, RK made it clear that he has no interest in entering politics. He believes that his true contribution lies in business, cinema, and philanthropy, rather than political engagement. He stated that for him, politics ends with casting his vote, and he prefers to dedicate his efforts to meaningful projects that benefit society and the film industry.
