Rishab Shetty is all praise for Vijay Thalapathy starrer 'Jana Nayagan' trailer, calls it 'fire'

With the clock now ticking down for actor-politician Vijay’s curtain call ‘Jana Nayagan', the recently released trailer is receiving thunderous reviews from the film industry. Among the first people to express his acclaim publicly was actor-director Rishab Shetty, who was quick to extend his congratulations on social media to the film’s crew. Calling the trailer “on fire,” the Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1 star wished Vijay, director H Vinoth, and composer Anirudh a “massive success,” adding to the growing buzz surrounding the Pongal release slated for January 9.In his social media post, Rishab Shetty talked about how the ‘Jana Nayagan’ trailer depicts Vijay as Thalapathy Vetri Kondan, a principled and fair-minded but also impetuous policeman. The trailer has sparked comparisons to Anil Ravipudi's 'Bhagavanth Kesari' but also showcases aspects of psychological trauma and a possible humanoid robot twist, suggesting a plot line that goes beyond being a simple remake.Notably, ‘Jana Nayagan’ is actor Thalapathy Vijay’s first film with director H Vinoth and his last film before his political debut for the 2026 Tamil Nadu elections. Interestingly, the trailer brings back familiar stars like Pooja Hegde, Prakash Raj, and Gautham Vasudev Menon around Vijay.
