Director-actor SA Chandrasekar has been rigorously promoting his forthcoming social drama ‘Traffic Ramasamy’, which is a biopic on the controversial activist Traffic Ramaswamy.
In a recent interview, SA Chandrasekar was talking about socially conscious films and was asked to comment on recent movies such as 'Mersal’ and ‘Kaala’. Talking about both the films, SA Chandrasekar reportedly stated that he preferred ‘Mersal’ over ‘Kaala’ since the former was a subtly handled commercial film.
This statement by SAC has not gone down well with Rajini’s fans.
‘Traffic Ramasamy’ is directed by debutant Vicky. The makers recently unveiled the theatrical trailer of the film, which has gotten a good response on social media platforms. In the film, SA Chandrasekar plays the titular role, while senior actress Rohini will reportedly play Ramaswamy’s wife in the biopic.
Among the supporting cast, ‘Traffic Ramasamy’ boasts of names such as
Prakash Raj, Ambika, Mohan Raman, Khushbu Sundar and Seema in supporting roles. Interestingly, the film also has
Vijay Sethupathi and
Vijay Antony playing a guest appearance.
Produced by Green Signal, ‘Traffic Ramasamy’ is all set to release on June 22.
