Ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam is gearing up for the release of his next biggie ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’, a multi-starrer that is scheduled to hit the screens on September 28. On the occasion of Independence Day, the makers unveiled the first look poster featuring Vijay Sethupathi as Rasool in the film. Needless to say, the poster has gone viral across social media. Later in the day, the team will also release the much-awaited first look of Simbu.Prior to this, the makers launched the posters of Arvind Swami and Arun Vijay, who are reported to be playing the characters Varadan and Thyagu respectively.‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ has huge expectations among fans since it marks the coming together of a huge cast that includes Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami, Arun Vijay, Jyothika and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles. The project, which was launched earlier this year, has been wrapped recently and is currently in its post-production stage.Starring Prakash Raj, Thyagarajan, Jayasudha and Mansoor Ali Khan in supporting roles, ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ has music by AR Rahman.
