If the claim turns true, then it will be another film based on a true story for Sivakarthikeyan after the mega-blockbuster 'Amaran', which narrated the story of late Major Mukund Varadharajan. According to historical records, Rajendran, a native of the Kallal area of Sivaganga district, was studying for his B.Sc. at Annamalai University. He was killed in police firing on the university campus while participating in the protests in 1965.
