Oviya’s 90 ML trailer creates mixed response

The trailer of Oviya’s as released to mixed response on social media, thanks to its content. With Oviya playing the lead role in it, the movie was one of the much-expected films because of a woman director helming it and Simbu composing music for the project. Simbu makes a short appearance in the trailer, too, which is of 1.50 minutes duration.
However, many netizens and movie buffs came own heavily on the trailer as they couldn’t agree with girls smoking, drinking and casually discussing about their raunchy sexual encounters in it.Directed by Alagiya Asura, the trailer has clocked 1 million views in 18 hours.
While many from ‘Oviya Army’ (the group of fans for the actress formed post her popularity gained in the reality show ) expressed their disappointment in seeing their favourite artiste portraying a bold role, there are those who termed the moral policing protestors as misogynists. A few also went on question why should people get upset about a movie which has been rated 'A' by the Censor Board.
Later, Oviya herself took to Twitter asking her followers not to reach a conclusion before watching the movie. She tweeted, “Hey guys pls dnt judge a seed before tasting the fruit Wait for the main film #90ml which is Censored (sic).”
