Nidhhi to make K’wood debut with #JR25

Nidhhi Agerwal, who has starred opposite Tiger Shroff in Munna Michael, Naga Chaitanya in Savyasachi and Akhil Akkineni in Mr. Majnu, is all set to make her debut in Kollywood. The actress has been roped in to play the female lead in Jayam Ravi’s 25th film, which will be directed by Lakshman of Romeo Juliet fame. Earlier, there were reports that had wrongly speculated that Keerthy Suresh could be playing the heroine in this film.
“Nidhhi will be seen in a strong role, as a modern, well-educated girl. It will be a peculiar one. She will start shooting for the film from July 14,” informs director Lakshman, who is currently on a recce in Tirunelveli. The film, referred to as #JR25, will be a Shankar-style social awareness film, and Jayam Ravi will be playing the role of a farmer in it.
He adds that popular Bollywood actor Ronit Roy will also be making his Kollywood debut with this film. “He will be seen in the role of the antagonist,” he informs.
