KS Ravikumar compares Ramya Krishnan's Neelambari character with J Jayalalitha; Politician Jayakumar warns

Director KS Ravikumar is one of the most veteran directors in Tamil cinema, and he has created several memorable characters for the fans. Ramya Krishnan's Neelambari character in KS Ravikumar's directorial 'Padayappa' is an inspiration for many, and the talented actress delivered a brilliant negative role that will last a long time in the hearts of the audience. KS Ravikumar recently revealed the inspiration for Ramya Krishnan's character, and he stated that her character was shaped by the real-life character of the late Chief Minister J Jayalalitha.

KS Ravikumar stated that he thought of J Jayalalitha when writing Neelambari's character in 'Padayappa'. He felt that she had classy body language for a majestic woman. KS Ravikumar heaped praise on J. Jayalalitha in his latest interview. But his statement was misunderstood by some, and the director faced a warning message from several politicians.

Politician Jayakumar, who is part of J Jayalalith's AIADMK, has mocked KS Ravikumar for his statement on the late actress-turned-politician. Jayakumar challenged KS Ravikumar, saying that he should have spoken about the matter when she was alive if he had guts. So, he called the director a coward, as he revealed the fact after Jayalalitha's demise.


Meanwhile, KS Ravikumar's directorial 'Muthu' featuring Rajinikanth in the lead role has been re-released in theaters today. The remastered version of the 1995 Tamil release is running in theaters across locations.
