The title is inspired from Vijay’s blockbuster motion picture of the same name from 2002, which was helmed by Vincent Selva. The title has received tremendous support from Vijay's ardent fanbase. He said, ‘Having grown up wetting my pants seeing @actorvijay sir on the screen, to embark on my film journey with a title as classic and timeless as “YOUTH” is nothing less than surreal and beautiful for me.’ He also mentioned that it is a “humble tribute” to the legacy of the title. This candid confession has further intensified the anticipation for the film owing to this sincerity and respect that reflected in the post.

Touted as a feel-good school movie, 'Youth' features Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anishma Anil Kumar, Devadarshini, Meenakshi Dinesh, and Priyanshi Yadav among others. The film is in post-production and will be out in February 2026.
