Kathir goes back to the village for 'Sarbath'

Kathir has been seen in several movies that have a rural plot. While some of them were thrillers, with a serious touch to them, his upcoming Sarbath will see him in a fun role, though the setting will be rural. Directed by debutant Prabhakaran, the film also stars Soori.
“It is a fun family drama, set in Chinnalapatti, Dindigul. Kathir plays an IT professional, who comes to his hometown to attend his brother’s wedding (played by Vivek Prasanna).And interesting things happen right at the time of the wedding. Soori plays his friend’s role. New girl Ragasya plays Kathir’s pair in the film,” Prabhakaran shares the details.
The team has finished shooting 90% of the film. “We shot the film in and around Dindigul. We also shot in Chennai for a few days. Only two more days of shoot are left. We have already begun the post-production work simultaneously” says the debutant, who earlier worked with Balaji Sakthivel. Ajeesh will be scoring music for the film.
