Karumpuli given a U certificate

A Parameshwar���s directorial venture Karumpuli has finally got through censors after facing a tough time under the scrutiny of censor board recently. The film which deals with terrorism was carefully handled by Censors and passed with 8 muted scenes and two scenes had to be re-shot!
Karumpuli has newcomers Mahesh, Sadak, Ratnamouli, Prachi, Varsha and it's script is modeled around the 26/11 terrorist attacks in Chennai.Although a fictitious account of the incident the fact that terrorists have being portrayed as Muslims gave way to much commotion midst the six member censor committee.
It is worth a mention that this movie which was earlier titled Uyir Ezhuthu, has been denied a clear chit thrice. Following which major portions of the movie have been re shot and re dubbed catering to a safer approach as recommended.
