Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ to release before ‘Kaala’?

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan’s long-delayed ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ is finally hitting the screens this year. As per the latest buzz, reports suggest that the much-awaited sequel is likely to release before superstar Rajinikanth’s gangster drama ‘Kaala’, which was earlier planned for a release on April 27.

However, there has been no official confirmation on the same. It also must be noted that ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ has already completed the censor formalities and has been awarded a ‘U/A’ certificate.
According to the reports, the highly anticipated ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ trailer will be out once the strike ends in the industry.Directed by Kamal Haasan himself, ‘Vishwaroopam 2’ takes the story forward from where its predecessor ended. Made on a lavish budget, the film also stars Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Shekhar Kapur, Rahul Bose and Nasser in pivotal roles.
On the other hand, reports are rife that ‘Kaala’, directed by Pa Ranjith, is expected to release on the Eid weekend in June. The release has been postponed due to the ongoing strike in the industry. The makers are yet to announce the release date. Rajinikanth also awaits the release of his massive '2.0', which is in its post-production stage.
