Pretty Sneha Ullal has been quite busy for the last week and didnt even have time to check messages on her mobile. No she wasnt shooting for a magnums opus, rather she was busy managing her home at Mumbai. My mother has gone to Oman to be with my dad who works there, so I was left to handle my house, she says and elaborates, Shooting for a film is much easier as you can relax once you finish your work.
Here I need to supervise the maids and thats not easy. Then one needs to plan the lunch and dinner menus which are so complicated and add to that I had to look after our dog. I found it hectic, she adds. However, she cherishes those house-sitting moments. Doing such homely chores keep me grounded, she admits.
On the professional front, she has laid out a road map for her comeback to B-town. I have appointed a manager to handle my work and commenced discussions with some filmmakers. I am all set to sign a plum B-town project, she informs. So will that be another goodie-goodie role? No, Ill return to pan-Indian audience with a screen sizzler kind of role. I need to break away from the girl next door image that has been bestowed ever since my debut film Lucky No Time for Love, she says. Can Sneha take on the might of glam divas like
Priyanka Chopra and
Kareena Kapoor though? They belong to a different league, so there is no question of any comparison with either. Physically, I have worked towards a feminine body and look like a 20-something girl and am sure will look good in those kind of roles , she points out.
Besides B-town, Sneha wants to explore avenues even in Tollytown. After proving myself as an actress with three films, now I am open to doing four scenes and four songs roles in star-centric movies, she reasons. Thats precisely her role in her comeback hit Simha. I enjoyed working with a big star like Balakrishna and though there were three heroines, I got the maximum mileage as the story revolved around me, she explains.
Hasnt she dented her success streak post Ullasanga Utsaganga. I dont think so, since four films in three years is a good count. Earlier, I preferred working with upcoming actors, now I intend to move on, she confesses. Snehas was one of the few B-town actresses, whos parked herself in T-town for a while now. Working in Telugu films has been an enriching experience. I have mastered 80 per cent of Telugu language, and am confident about saying my own lines in films now, says the Mumbaikar. Sneha now she has to learn another tough Dravidian language as she is set to debut in K-town with
Jeevan. I think Tamil will be a bit difficult but I am all set for a Kollywood stint, she points out.
