Harbhajan Singh plays a college student in his debut as a lead

We had reported that Harbhajan Singh and Losliya are playing the lead roles in Friendship, directed by John Paul Raj and Sham Surya. According to John, the movie, the first schedule of which was completed before the lockdown, will have the cricketer-turned-actor playing a student. The remaining portions, which were supposed to be shot in April, will be shot in Coimbatore once normalcy returns.
He informs, “Harbhajan essays the role of a mechanical engineering student hailing from Punjab who comes to a college in Coimbatore for his studies. His character is that of someone who had discontinued studies for a few years after completing school.”
Losliya, he adds, will have equal screen space as that of Harbhajan. “The sequences between the male and female lead characters will be devoid of clichés,” he assures. Actor Arjun plays a crucial, suspense-filled role in the film. “The story, which revolves around a group of friends, has elements of sports, politics and a social cause,” says John.
