Gautham Vasudev Menon has completed 25 years in the film industry. Completing such a long time in the industry, the director shared feeling overwhelmed by the volume of memories he has made. He called it a “tapestry woven from the dreams, dedication and talent of countless individuals.”

To mark this special moment, he shared a long and emotional note on his X (formerly Twitter) handle. He titled it “A Quarter-century of frames and feelings.”
In the post he wrote, “It is often said that cinema is not just about capturing moving images; it is about capturing time itself. And as I pause to mark twenty-five years since I first shouted "Action," I am overwhelmed not by the passage of time, but by the volume of memories that time has generously afforded me.”
A journey never walked alone
Gautham Vasudev Menon said that his 25-year journey was not done alone. He wrote, “Twenty five years in this magnificent, demanding industry is not a solitary achievement.” He added that cinema is a tapestry made of dreams, hard work, and the talent of many people who walked with him. His words showed respect for everyone who supported him over the years.
Gratitude to actors, crew and mentors
The director thanked his actors as he wrote, “My deepest gratitude and love go to the artists.” He praised actors for giving life to his characters and finding depth he did not see before. He then thanked his loyal crew and called them “the silent architects of my imagination.” He also remembered his mentors and cinema masters and said they showed him the right path.
Inspired by peers and loved by the audience
He also mentioned getting inspired by his contemporaries, as he added, "To my contemporaries and fellow directors, your work challenges and inspires me daily. The camaraderie we share in this shared pursuit of storytelling is invaluable."
Gautham Menon ended his note by thanking his audience. He wrote, “Your acceptance is the ultimate reward.” He said people welcomed his stories and characters into their lives. He also thanked everyone for the love shown at the #YennoduVaaVeeduVaraikkum concert. Calling it a soulful night, he ended with hope and love, writing, “My love affair with cinema continues.
