From shooting sports to photography: Five skills of Ajith, apart from acting, that have impressed his fans

Thala Ajith has a great fan following in the industry and there are no two ways about it. While his acting and mass appearance in films have always been things that drive his fans crazy, Ajith's fans are also impressed by the actor's versatility outside cinema. The actor is passionate about several things apart from films. And he has proved his skills in each of them. Biking, rifle shooting, aeromodelling, photography and cooking - other than cinema, these are a few areas in which the actor has shown great interest and has excelled. Now, we hear that the actor is preparing himself for an upconing rifle shooting event.

We hear that Thala Ajith is preparing himself for the upcoming national-level rifle shooting championship. In 2019, he was part of the national event, and reportedly ranked 9th and 12th in a couple of categories. According to reports, the actor is currently undertaking preparations for the next national event at a rifle club facility in Chennai. Reports say that the actor has been quite passionate about rifle shooting even from a very young age.

Everyone knows about Ajith's passion for bikes. On several occasions, his fans have seen his passion for bikes unfold. While he's crazy about bikes, he is also an ambassador of safe riding. Last year, television personality, Suhail Chandhok, who acted with Ajith in 'Veeram', wrote on his social media page about the duo's bike ride from Pune to Chennai during the film's shooting. Another online report says the actor recently completed a 10,000km ride, covering the distance from Chennai to Ayodhya via Hyderabad, Varanasi, Gangtok and Lucknow.

Again, his interest in aeromodelling is another factor that pushes his fan-following to greater heights. The actor has attended several workshops related to this during his visits abroad. He is even quite passionate about training young minds in aeromodelling. He's closely associated with Daksha, a team of aeromodelling students from the Madras Institute of Technology. In the last couple of years, the actor has helped the team by training them for several big events in the field.

Looks like the actor loves to get himself behind the camera as well and click photos. This is another passion that he has been nurturing over the last many years. It is reported that the actor picked up interest in photography when he was gifted a camera by cinematographer Aravind during the shoot of 2001 film 'Dheena'. Since then there has been no looking back. There are a few lucky co-stars of him, including Shruti Haasan, Parvati Nair and Kabir Duhan Singh to name a few, who have been shot by Thala on his camera.

Several actors have shared about Ajith's cooking skills and how he feeds people on the set of his films. Among the dishes that he prepares, it's biryani that everyone says is a must-try item cooked by Thala. In an interview with us, his 'Vedalam' co-star, Rahul Dev, had mentioned, "That day he said he couldn't get good mutton, so he had prepared chicken biryani. Now, I am a guy from the north, and, trust me, I know my biryani. His chicken biryani was something else. Piping hot and delicious."
