Four heroines fight off a crocodile in Kanni Theevu

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Aishwarya Dutta, Ashna Zaveri and Subhiksha are acting together in Kanni Theevu, an action adventure. The film is being directed by Sundhar Balu, who has helmed Trisha’s yet-to-be-released Garjanai.
The team has completed shooting the first schedule in Chennai and will be leaving to Kerala soon to shoot some thrilling action sequences. And one of those action sequences involves the four heroines fighting off a crocodile.
“The story revolves around these four girls who are friends residing in a housing board colony. They are on a mission to rescue someone who has gotten into a problem. But then, at a crucial juncture, they find themselves trapped in a lake inhabited by a crocodile. They take on the animal, and try to escape from the lake,” elaborates the director. He reveals that the team will be shooting this particular scene at a lake near Thiruvananthapuram from February 11.
The four girls are helped in defeating the crocodile by the boatman, played by Naan Kadavul Rajendran. “He is playing the character of a boatman who helps the protagonist. He will also act as the comic element in the film,” says the director.
This action set-piece will be choreographed by stunt master Stun Siva. “We will be using a dummy while shooting the scene, but will be creating the crocodile later using visual effects,” adds Sundhar. Arrol Corelli is composing the music for this film.
