Dhanush and composer GV Prakash graced the stage at the audio launch of their upcoming film 'Idli Kadai' on September 14, 2025 in Chennai. The actor and the composer performed the 'Enjami Thandhaane' song from the movie. The actor's son Linga joined the duo and grooved to the music. Unsurprisingly, the video of their dance has now become viral on the internet.

The duo delivered a live performance for the audiences present at the venue. Towards the end of the song, the actor started to groove to it and gestured his son to join him. Dhanush talks about 'Idli Kadai'

At the launch event of the film's music, Dhanush talked about the origin story of 'Idli Kadai'. Dhanush has directed the film apart from starring as the lead hero. According to the India Today report, Dhanush said that as a kid he always craved for idlis; however, he couldn't afford them. The actor added that he and his sister used to collect flowers from the neighborhood and sell them. He said, "My sisters, cousins, and I would wake up at 4 am to do this for over two hours."

He went on to say, "We'd be getting over Rs 2 each for selling the flowers."
Dhanush further shared that they would then go to a local pump set, bathe, and then visit an idli shop. He said, "We would get 4–5 idlis. Nothing can beat the satisfaction and taste that we got out of eating food from our money."

More about 'Idli Kadai'

The film is Dhanush's fourth directorial project. The movie also stars Nithya Menen, Sathyaraj, Arun Vijay, Samuthirakani, Rajiran, Shalini Pandey, and Parthiepan in pivotal roles. The film is set to hit theaters on October 1, 2025. Meanwhile, Dhanush's previous outing was 'Kuberaa'.
