Vijay-starrer Bigil hit screens across the world today and shows started from 5AM in the morning in Tamil Nadu and other states. There was confusion regarding the film’s first show as the exhibitors and fans were eagerly waiting for the permission from government. The much-awaited permission was granted on Thursday night and the producers of the film thanked the government for the same.
A lot of fans were seen expressing their anger and disappointment on social media. However, things went out of control in Krishnagiri where fans of the star wreaked havoc as they were upset about the delayed screening of the film in of the theatres in the town.
They reportedly damaged public property after which cops registered case and arrested more than 30 miscreants. Fans started assembling near the theatre from early morning itself and the untoward incident is said to have happened after 3AM. The video of a few fans indulging in anti-social activities, like pelting stones, destroying banners, vehicles, CCT cameras and water tank, etc, started doing the rounds on social media. The police have now tightened security at the place where the incident took place.
