Restored with modern Dolby sound, the film, celebrated for its sharp dialogues and relevant commentary on power and greed, will be screened across five South Indian states. ‘Amaidhipadai’ is a 1994 film by the director Manivannan and hailed as one of the best political satires in Tamil cinema. Sathyaraj had acted in a double role in the movie along with Ranjitha, Kasthuri, Kuyili, among others. The dialogues are viral even to this day and age. Reportedly, the film is now set to be re-released after 32 years.

As per The Hindu, 'Amaidhipadai' will be re-released after being restored in the 4K resolution and Dolby sound. Additionally, the film will be launched across five states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, and Karnataka.
