Ajith to romance Huma

The pivotal heroine���������s role in Ajith���������s Billa 2, that is being directed by Chakri Toleti, has gone to Huma Qureshi, a young theatre actress from Delhi.
Huma, a vibrant actress, rocked big time with Aamir Khan in a mobile commercial and was the much-talked-about lady with Shah Rukh Khan in a paint ad. She has also done campaigns for other leading brands and is one of the hottest models in Mumbai.
Huma is debuting in Bollywood with Anurag Kashyap���������s Gangs of Wasseypur, rumoured to be a Hindi remake of Sasikumar���������s critically-acclaimed Subramaniapuram.
Talking to CT, Huma said, ���������I am delighted to be a part of the legendary Billa franchise and feel fortunate to debut in the Tamil film industry, opposite a big star like Ajith sir. I read so much about him and am looking forward to meeting him in Chennai, where I will be coming to do the photo- shoot. When Chakri narrated the script to me, I realized I was being offered to play an important character and that too, so early in my career! I was bowled over by the role narrated to me for Billa 2 and cannot wait to start work on the film.���������
Sunir Kheterpal, the presenter of the film along with Suresh Balaji and George Pious, said, ���������Having spent almost two months looking at options for the lead actress for the film, we have formalised Huma as the lead girl in Billa 2. She has a strong, pivotal role. We are extremely confident that Huma has the requisite talent, temperament and the screen presence to carry the same with ������lan.���������
Chakri Toleti says, ���������The part of our leading girl is a highly demanding role and it was a challenge to find an actress with just the right mix of talent, looks and attitude. Huma is an actress with tremendous range and charisma and we are happy to have her on board.���������
Billa 2 has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Hemant Chaturvedi, who has earlier worked in films like Company, Maqbool and Kurbaan, is the cinematographer.
The shoot of the film will start in the second fortnight of May 2011.
